    From a press release:

DeChaumes Elementary was one of five Houston Independent School District (HISD) schools to be selected as a regional winner of the Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet Science Project. Last week, Cool Globes Education Sponsor H-E-B presented the science class with $1,000 to be used to implement the fifth grade class’ environmental projects.

Along with the other regional winners, DeChaumes Elementary showcased its class project, which included a paper mache globe featuring winning solutions for global warming, a student journal, and letter to Mayor Bill White, to compete for recognition as the District winner. The district winner, MacGregor Elementary, received a check for $10,000.
