Authorities are a searching for a burglary suspect they say pulled a gun on a police officer and then ran away after the officer fired at him late Sunday night in north Houston.

The shooting occurred in the 17200 block of Imperial Valley about 10:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. It is unclear if the suspect was wounded. The officer, whose name has not been released, was not injured.
