According to Marlene McClinton, spokeswoman for the Houston Airport System, there have been no unusual delays at Bush Intercontinental so far today due to increased holiday traffic.
About 1.3 million travelers are expected to pass through Bush during the holiday period between Nov. 18 and Nov. 30. That's about 80,000 more than last year, McClinton said.
Transportation officials suggest that air travelers get to airports about 2 1/2 hours before their scheduled departures to allow enough time to park and get through security checkpoints.
