A 10-year-old boy managed to call for help while he consoled his 9-year-old sister after they were both stabbed multiple times by a relative at a northeast Harris County home, officials said.
Deputies were dispatched to the house in the 8100 block of Greens Road about 8 p.m. Wednesday after a woman was heard banging on a neighbor’s door and screaming that she had killed someone, said Deputy Thomas Gilliland, spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.
The woman, identified as 28-year-old Regina Umagat, was bloody, Gilliland said. She is charged with two counts of injury to a child with serious bodily injury and is being held without bond.
