From a Chronicle story by Dale Lezon:
A traffic wreck involving an 18-wheeler forced police to shut down portions of U.S 290 near the 610 Loop for about an hour.
The crash occurred on the westbound Northwest Freeway near Magnum about 6:15 a.m. It was cleared by 7:10 a.m.
All westbound main lanes were blocked for a time as police and emergency crews worked to clear the site, and a residual backup was left on the northbound Loop.
At least three vehicles, including the big rig, were involved.
No other information was immediately available.
