    HPD: 1-year-old injured by hit-and-run driver

    A toddler was injured after he was run down by an apparent hit-and-run driver last weekend in north Houston, police said.

    Police initially today said the child died, but later corrected the information. The child was not seriously injured and has been returned to his home.
