Truck driver injured in crash with Aldine school bus

A driver was injured this morning when his commercial truck slammed into the back of an Aldine Independent School District bus.

The 30-year-old man driving the truck was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center by helicopter, but his condition was not immediately available. The special-needs student aboard the bus was not hurt, district spokesman Mike Sweeney said, and a bus driver's aide was taken to a hospital strictly as a precaution.

The wreck occurred before 8 a.m. on Lee Road near the U.S. 59 Eastex Freeway.
