From a press release:
Currently appearing in the Theater Under the Stars production of Miss Saigon, Steven Eng is a 1990 graduate of MacArthur Sr. High School. He is in a leading role as Thuy. He recently recalled that he has many fond memories of his years at MacArthur High.
Steven calls New York City home, though he originally hails from Houston, Texas. While he doesn't wear cowboy boots, ride horses, or speak with much of a Texas twang (except when he's relaxed!), he's glad to have grown up there and returns periodically to be with family and close friends. He's been fortunate to have lived and worked in London, Germany, Austria, and Cambodia, and travelled throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. He's even worked a bit throughout the U.S., including premiere regional theatres in Texas, Washington, New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C., not to mention touring at major venues in California, Florida, Michigan, and more.
In addition to his acting work, he has served as directing assistant to directors/choreographers on several prominent projects, including the 2006 Broadway revival of A CHORUS LINE. He has also assisted on the national tours of THE KING AND I and BOMBAY DREAMS as well as the New York City Opera production of CINDERELLA.
He also enjoys immensely his ShakeShops, where he holds workshops with professional actors exploring in depth Shakespeare's plays and text.
He is also very proud to be a founding member of NATIONAL ASIAN ARTISTS PROJECT (www.NAAProject.org), an exciting not-for-profit eductional and producing organization dedicated to artists of Asian descent and the impact they continue to bring to the American voice.

MacArthur Student
Hello my name is Samantha Perez. I'm currently a student at MacArthur High school. I absolutley enjoy the performing arts such as acting, singing, and dancing. These things have always been such a huge passion in my life. I've been dancing for about 12 years now, and have been singing since i was born. Also I am working a summer job at the George. R. Brown Wortham center as a usher. Being able to work there brings me closer to what I want to be in life which is a performer. With your help I am hoping you could give me some wise advice in which I can take in to achieve my goals in life.
