    From a Houston Chronicle story:

George Bush Intercontinental Airport will go to the dogs next Saturday as thousands of canines and canine-lovers gather for the Houston SPCA's annual Mutt Strut and Runway Race.

Last year, the event attracted 2,000 people and 1,500 dogs and brought the animal welfare agency $330,000 in revenue, said Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals spokeswoman Meera Nandlal.

The event will feature a 5K race for runners, walkers and wheelchair contestants and a noncompetitive Mutt Strut. Both will begin at 8 a.m. In addition, costume and dog and owner look alike contests will be held. Music, food and children's activities also will be available.
