    According to a Chronicle story by Mike Glenn, a toddler was found dead this evening inside a car parked outside his family's northeast Harris County home.

    The boy, identified by relatives as Jayden Woodward, 2 1/2, was discovered about 7 p.m. after Harris County sheriff's deputies were sent to the home in the 11300 block of Hartley.

    Authorities released a surveillance photo of a man they say robbed a bank last week in northeast Houston. The robbery occurred at a Chase Bank on the 9400 block of Mesa at noon on Saturday.

    An 81-year-old Arbor Oaks resident opened her door yesterday to find a 3-month-old baby crying on her doorstep. The baby was dropped off after a car thief stole a 2005 Chevy Malibu with the baby in the back seat.

    Bush Intercontinental will soon receive radiation imaging equipment that allows airport safety workers to peer past clothing to check for dangerous items. Two of the machines will arrive in August, and the airport should receive 16 more by December.
