    Cristela Flores, a "legend" at Aldine Independent School district, is retiring after 49 years as a teacher. Flores has been working at Keeble EC/PK since it opened in 1997.

    Conley Elementary will be holding its annual Asian Heritage Program on May 21 at 8:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The program serves as a tool to educate the school's students about the different cultures around the world, specifically, the cultures of the continent of Asia.

    Acres Home native Je’Caryous Johnson found out about the theater while attending Nimitz High School and he never looked back. Now his company, I'm Read Productions, is growing in leaps and bounds with acting classes, movies and plays adapted from novels.
