Sonrise Community Church and Keeping Kids Off the Streets teamed up for "Gospel Skating," a toy giveaway at the Lockwood Skating Palace. Keeping Kids Off the Streets founder Jo Ann L. Chase-Jones said that 700 children attended the event.
A large number of community figures came together to support the Christmas celebration, donating toys or food to the event. The sponsors included:
